How to Start Override – Destiny 2

Override is the new seasonal activity for Season of the Splicer. Learn where Override is in the Director so you can start earning your seasonal rewards.

Override is the new seasonal activity for Destiny 2’s latest season, Season of the Splicer. In it, you and 5 teammates will be pitted against waves of Cabal to splice into the Vex network and stop them from doing…Vex things. It’s not really clear yet to be entirely honest. However, running Override is how you can get your hands on the latest armor and weapons that the season has to offer.

You might have a little trouble finding it since the activity is off the beaten path.

How to Start Override

If you’re trying to find Override in the Vanguard Director where Battlegrounds was, you’ll notice that it isn’t there. That’s because Override is located in the Eliksni wing of the H.E.L.M. this season. To start Override, simply select the H.E.L.M. from the main Director screen (it’s right above the Tower) and select Override from the top left side of your screen, as seen below.

However, before you can start Override, you’ll have to run the introductory mission first. Completing this mission will give you access to the Splicer Gauntlet, the Fallen Quarter, the seasonal artifact, and Override.

You don’t have to run the introduction mission multiple times to unlock Override either. Once you’ve completed the Path of the Splicer I on one character, you don’t have to do it again. It’s marked as complete on all of your characters so you can just hop into Override on your alts without any extra hoops to jump through.

Recap

One thing to keep in mind is that Override is a 1300 power level activity. If you aren’t 1300 yet because you didn’t hit the soft cap during Season of the Chosen, you may want to spend a little time raising your light level before queueing up. Override isn’t a difficult activity, but there are a lot of enemy units. You’re gonna have a rough time if you go in there and you’re under-geared.
