Wayfinder Compass & Artifact Mods for Season of the Lost

Learn everything you need to know about the Wayfinder's Compass, Season of the Lost's seasonal artifact.

Season of the Lost is here and that means that we have a new Artifact to level to get access to this season’s artifact mods. This season’s artifact is the Wayfinder Compass which is an Awoken artifact that aids in the art of Wayfinding, or traversing the ley lines that connect the material world and the Ascendant Plane.

As with each season, Bungie curates the artifact mods to shift the overall sandbox and encourage Guardians to try new weapons and playstyles. This season is no different with this batch of exotics leaning towards Solar & Stasis subclasses as well as Fusion Rifles, Swords, and Linear Fusion Rifles.

Leveling Your Wayfinder’s Compass

Bungie always does a great job at coming up with powerful armor mods to shake up the game’s meta each season. However, you have to level your seasonal artifact before you can get your hands on them and that can take some time, especially if you’re a casual player.

To get your Seasonal Artifact to max level:

  • Pick up all of the daily and repeatable bounties in the Tower, i.e. Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, & Gunsmith
  • Go to the H.E.L.M. and pick up the daily bounties there, i.e. Wayfinder Compass and Splicer Servitor
  • Do them.

There is no faster way to level your artifact than just doing bounties. It isn’t the most enjoyable way to play the game, but bounties reward a serious amount of experience and there’s a TON that are available to players now. If the ones I listed aren’t your speed, you can go to any of the vendors below to snag their stock of bounties.

Destiny 2 Bounty Vendors:

  • The Tower: Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, Gunsmith
  • The H.E.L.M.: Splicer Servitor and Wayfinder Compass
  • Europa: Variks at Charon’s Crossing
  • Cosmodrome: Shaw Han at his janky base
  • The Moon: Eris Morn (Daily & repeatable bounties only)
  • EDZ: Devrim Kay (Only 3x daily bounties)
  • Nessus: Failsafe (Only 3x daily bounties)

The bounties from Petra Venj and Spider don’t award XP so if you’re grabbing bounties to level your Compass, you’ll want to pass on those two vendors.
